Privacy notice

This notice describes the public marketing website at getcopper.io, its optional product chat and the campaign information passed from this website to signup. The Copper application at app.getcopper.io has additional processing for accounts, uploaded lists, enrichment and billing. This notice does not describe all application processing.

Delivering this website

This is a static website hosted through Cloudflare Workers Static Assets. When you visit, Cloudflare receives technical request information such as your IP address, requested URL, request time and browser information in order to deliver the page and operate its network. Cloudflare's infrastructure may process information in countries outside the European Economic Area.

We use hosting and delivery services to make this website available and protect it from abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a reliable, secure website under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Further information about Cloudflare's processing is available in its privacy policy and customer data processing addendum.

Optional AI product chat

When you open “Ask about Copper”, we load an embedded chat from DocsBot AI, operated by UglyRobot, LLC in the United States. DocsBot and its service providers receive technical connection information, such as your IP address and browser information, and process the messages you send and the answers generated. DocsBot stores questions, answers and chat history and uses AI and hosting providers to deliver its service. Information may be processed outside the European Economic Area. See DocsBot's privacy policy and data processing information.

The chat uses your browser language to choose English or German. Our embed does not automatically provide your name, email address, Copper account or workspace data to the bot. Information you type into a message is sent to the chat service, so please do not share passwords, API keys or private customer information. You can instead contact support@getcopper.io.

The embedded chat keeps conversation and draft state in the current page's memory. Closing and reopening the panel preserves that state; reloading or leaving the page removes this local state. This does not delete messages already retained by DocsBot. Our integration substitutes temporary memory for the widget's local and session browser storage. It does not give the widget access to Copper account cookies.

We process your requests to answer product questions and provide support. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where necessary for steps you request before a contract or to perform a contract, and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for our legitimate interest in responding to other enquiries. Opening chat is optional; the website remains usable without it.

Campaign information and signup

Links to this website may contain campaign labels: utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term and utm_id. We read supported values, the referring website's hostname and the public landing-page path. When you follow a signup or application link, this information can be included in its URL and passed to app.getcopper.io. If you register, Copper saves available campaign information with the new account for administrator acquisition reports. It can then be compared with signup, verification, subscription and usage outcomes.

This attribution does not use a marketing cookie, fingerprint or anonymous identifier that follows you across visits. We do not capture the full referring URL or its query parameters for attribution. The purpose is to understand which campaigns lead to customer signups and improve our marketing, based on our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. You may object to this processing using the contact details above. Campaign attribution is not required to create an account.

Personal invitation links may also include a referral code. If you register through one, the application handles referral attribution separately from marketing campaign labels, associating the invitation with the new account to determine eligibility for referral credits. Referral account and payment processing belongs to the application and is not fully described by this website notice.

Optional Meta advertising measurement

If you accept advertising cookies, we load Meta Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, to measure page visits and clicks opening the Copper app. Meta receives technical information such as IP address, browser information, the page URL and referrer, and may set advertising cookies such as _fbp and _fbc. Meta may connect this activity to your Meta account and use it to measure and personalize advertising. Information may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Meta Pixel does not load until you accept. Declining does not limit use of this website. We do not send contact lists, chat messages, account details or payment details through this integration. A click into the app is measured separately from a completed signup or purchase.

You can change your decision using “Cookie settings” in the website footer. We remember that choice in this browser for up to 180 days. Withdrawing consent stops future Pixel events and removes Meta cookies accessible to this website; it does not remove information already received by Meta. The consent preference itself is stored so we can respect your choice.

Optional Google Analytics (website and app entry)

If you allow Analytics cookies, we load Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to understand visits to our public website and the application's public entry screens. Analytics is a separate choice from Meta advertising. An earlier advertising choice does not activate Google Analytics. Declining either category does not restrict access to Copper.

Google receives technical information such as IP address and browser information and may store analytics cookies such as _ga. Our page-view events use public page locations and titles, with query parameters and fragments removed. We do not intentionally include account identifiers, email addresses, passwords, customer tables or chat content. Analytics collection is disabled in authenticated workspaces, on sensitive auth links, and in the development environment.

Analytics cookies and our separate analytics preference last up to 180 days. Google applies its configured retention settings to received data, which may be processed outside the European Economic Area. See Google's privacy policy and how Google uses information from partner sites. This optional processing relies on your consent. The preference itself is stored in your browser so we can respect your choice.

Google Analytics does not load before you grant analytics consent. You can withdraw or change that choice using Cookie settings on the website or app. Withdrawal stops future collection and removes accessible analytics cookies; it cannot recall information already received by Google. Your choice is stored separately for the website and application in this browser. This section covers this analytics integration; it does not replace the additional notices governing Copper account and workspace data.

Other page content and browser storage

Fonts and main page assets are served from this website. Optional chat and campaign attribution work as described above. Cloudflare may apply technical security mechanisms. The website does not accept payment details or file uploads, and its product demonstrations use fictional records.

Retention

Technical hosting data and messages sent to DocsBot are subject to the applicable service configuration and provider retention rules; closing chat does not erase provider records. Campaign information is kept in page memory before signup and, if registration occurs, saved with the account for acquisition reporting. We retain account-linked attribution and correspondence only as long as needed for their stated purposes or applicable legal requirements. Contact us to request access or deletion; we will assess the request and involve our service providers where necessary.

Your rights

Subject to the conditions in the GDPR, you may request access, correction, deletion or restriction of processing of your personal data. You may also have the right to data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may complain to a competent data protection supervisory authority.
